Med Security manages the database of the Health Science card key access system. If your new location includes electronic access controls and you have an existing Health Science card key, please have your Department Administration request card modifications to include your new location.
For the issuance of new card keys, please complete the form available here.
For help with relocation and configuration of computers, servers, et al, contact your Department Administration for a support plan. If the equipment is supported by UCSD Health Information Services, submit a request for an equipment relocation here or contact Service Desk at (619) 543-4357 or extension 3HELP from your existing UCSD phone line.
If you are currently leasing a copier through Imprints, contact UCSD’s Print & Digital Media service provider to relocate the machine. Ask if there are special requirements, such as a dedicated outlet that will be necessary at the new location.
For copiers leased or serviced by an outside vendor, contact the leasing agency for the relocation of your machine.
New signs and nameplates are subject to UCSD and VCHS signage policies and procedures. Any new signage shall be in the existing style and aesthetic already established in the building.
Coordinate with Facilities Management by submitting a workforce on-line prior to the move to be on hand to hang artwork, diplomas, whiteboards, keyboard trays, etc.
Please contact Patti Kline, Facilities Manager with PSM or (858) 822-3879 for guidance.
Ensure you and your staff update your respective directory listing if your work location has changed. Follow the link below and perform a search for your name. When found, click here to ‘Request changes to the directory information above’.
If you have furniture or equipment you no longer need or work with, use your move or expansion to rid yourself of items that aren’t serving your purposes. Arrange for Surplus Sales to collect these items; a portion of any re-sale of the item(s) will be refunded back to your department. For more information on how to place a Surplus request, click here.
If your move includes new, modified, or terminated telephones and/or activation of data ports, contact UCSD Administrative Computing and Telecommunications and submit a Customer Service Request (“CSR”) here.
If you need extra garbage or recycling bins to purge files as you begin to pack your office contents, please contact UCSD Facilities Management at (858) 534-2930.
Advise them well in advance of your targeted move date to ensure they can provide you the materials you need in a timely manner.
