Other Laboratory Material and Apparatus

Please do not move your Chemicals.  For chemicals and other dangerous substance(s), EH&S will be able to provide you guidance on moving or disposing chemicals and other dangerous substance(s).   Please refer to the following:

The preferred company that EH&S suggests is Clean Harbors Environmental Services.

Prior to relocation, be sure your lab has a key to the preferred flammable chemical storage cabinet.

Pack cold room materials and leave them in the room.  Do not store samples in cardboard boxes as cardboard is a porous material which promotes mold growth. 

Cold rooms are typically shared amongst all labs, so please only use your proportionate share of the room.

Make sure your new location has the means to satisfy these requirements.  If you have any doubt, consult EH&S to affirm what is lacking.  FM can assist with any corrective work necessary.
