 Assistant Vice Chancellor for Innovation

Reporting to the vice chancellor for Health Sciences, the assistant vice chancellor works in close partnership with the vice chancellor’s leadership team to evaluate, plan and advocate for strategic investments that enhance innovation and AI adoption across the Health Sciences. This includes advancing capabilities and integrating cross-cutting opportunities that leverage emerging technologies to promote discovery, improve teaching, and increase institutional effectiveness.

The assistant vice chancellor facilitates and influences the growth of a cohesive innovation and AI ecosystem for Health Sciences, helping to align and connect efforts across academic, research, clinical and administrative domains. The role supports Health Sciences schools, institutes, centers and operational units in developing and implementing innovation and AI strategies; fosters interdisciplinary collaboration; and helps ensure that AI initiatives are ethical, equitable and aligned with institutional values and regulatory requirements.
