Brand materials have been developed for all UC San Diego Health Sciences units to provide a cohesive visual and messaging framework that reflects our commitment to innovation, research and compassionate care. These materials ensure consistency across communications; they have been developed specifically for use within Health Sciences and are based on the UC San Diego Brand Guidelines.

Presentation Templates

Presentation templates are available in two font options: Calibri and Source Sans Teko. Each template is provided in both Google Slides and PowerPoint formats. If you prefer to use the Source Sans option but do not have the font installed, you can download it from the University Brand page to ensure accurate display of the design.

Annual Reports

The Health Sciences annual report template is available as an InDesign template (INDD) for a long format, full production design. Communicators can use this template if they have the correct software, or share it with a design vendor as a starting point for your annual report.

Email Templates

Fully designed templates for email messages and newsletters are available through myEmma (the university’s enterprise-wide mass email system). To access the templates, sign into myEmma (emma.ucsd.edu) using your SSO credentials, select New Campaign, then select Shared Templates to start.

Canva

Canva, the all-in-one visual communication and design platform, is available to UC San Diego faculty and staff as part of a UC-wide initiative to provide innovative tools for teaching, learning and work. Faculty and staff may purchase a Canva license for $115 per user annually, with the option to renew each year on July 1. Learn more about how to purchase a Canva account.

Communications leads for all Health Sciences schools, centers and institutes have access to their unit’s Canva toolkit with branded designs and templates. Contact your communications lead with questions.
