Prior to Hire

The introduction welcomes new hires to UC San Diego Health Sciences and provides essential pre-start information. It outlines the onboarding process, including an email request from the Academic Resource Center (ARC) to complete new hire documents via DocuSign. New employees must attend an in-person onboarding session on Wednesdays, bringing required original employment documents. Completing both the online and in-person onboarding before the start date is crucial for a timely start and system access. The introduction also advises employees to communicate any start date changes and to review their benefits options, with a 31-day enrollment window.

Please review the checklists as a guide for what to expect before your start and within the first 30+ days of employment.
