Introduction

Faculty leadership and devoted analysts in the Vice-Chancellor of Health Sciences Academic Affairs (VCHS-AA) office focus on advancing the successful academic mission of all Health Sciences faculty. They provide oversight and assistance on all aspects of the faculty lifecycle including recruitments and initial academic appointments; promotions and advancement actions; compensation, and importantly, putting all this in the context and how best to interpret University of California and UCSD policies and procedures.  Our office is committed to delivering expert, equitable and objective guidance to all Health Sciences faculty, along with leaders and academic affairs staff in Health Science departments and schools.
