- In service: what types of campus or Health Science wide committees you can serve on. Additionally provide external activities, editorial board, grant reviewer, scientific advisory board, etc.
- Junior/mid-level faculty should connect with a mentor
- When appropriate, serve as liaison between faculty or academic to collect documents or request signatures (on biobib or Certification forms)
- Communicate/coordinate department or ad hoc meeting scheduling with ARC representative
- When appropriate communicate department’s recommended action for academic/faculty member
- Serve as a liaison with department Vice Chair or Chair for final review of department recommendation letter
- Provide list of eligible academic/faculty appointees to department as well as potential actions
- Serve as subject matter expert for departments/faculty to answer questions posed by faculty or department leadership related to policy and preparation of academic review
- Collect review materials
- Review accuracy of UCSD Bio-bibliography
- Review file for past collaborations
- Recommend edits
- Prepare and coordinate department vote
- Draft department recommendation letter
- Submit complete file to VCHS for review
- Keep department/faculty updated on the status of file and communicate preliminary recommendations with department
