Give to the Academy of Clinician Scholars

In 2008, an endowment was established to support the activities of the AoCS. This endowment is made possible through the foundational support from the UC San Diego Medical Center, the UC San Diego School of Medicine, the UC San Diego Medical Group, and from individual donations from AoCS members and friends.

It is the AOCS vision that revenue from the endowment will grow sufficiently to support clinical research, and educational activities that will enhance all aspects of clinical care.  An ambitious goal is to raise funds to support mini sabbaticals for clinical faculty that will allow the acquisition and importation of new skills to UC San Diego, to provide cutting edge treatments to our community and educate our trainees.  Paid sabbaticals have only been available to non-clinical UC San Diego faculty and AoCS believes if made available to clinical faculty, there will be substantial value added to UC San Diego Health and our community.
